Challenge
The US Marines Corps was looking for an automated drone cargo delivery solution that includes a secure control system.
Solution
Periscope Aviation provided five state-of-the-art tactical resupply drones with a 40 kg capacity, while ARA Robotics equipped the Periscope drones with its SKYMATE™ autopilot. Additionally, it was integrated into Autonodyne’s RCU-1000 ground control software for the project’s needs. The system boasts several advanced features, such as automated in-flight package release and the ability to take altitude readings using lidar.
Result
With the successful integration of the SKYMATE flight controller with Periscope’s drones, a robust drone cargo delivery solution has emerged. In addition, a data security assessment ensured that the GPS coordinates of the launch point were protected, ensuring the safety and efficiency of delivery operations.
Qualia now benefit from a system that not only simplifies multi-vehicle routing but also offers an unprecedented 4D airspace perspective. The precision and real-time tracking capability have elevated their RPAS functions, making them more secure and efficient than ever.
