Enjeu

ARA Robotics and Bell Textron Canada have joined forces to optimize the Automatic Pod Transport (APT) aircraft. The major challenge was to develop an autopilot system for the APT that would be capable of performing sophisticated autonomous missions.

Solution

Leveraging ARA’s expertise in flight control technology, a specific flight control system for the APT was developed. The innovative SKYMATE™ autopilot system has been integrated into the APT design. At the same time, SkyControl™, ARA Robotics' Ground Control Station software, was used for route planning and programming based on waypoints.

Résultat

Thanks to the expertise of ARA Robotics, not only have the aircraft automation capabilities with the SKYMATE flight controller been highlighted, but a robust and adapted system for the APT has also emerged. This successful collaboration resulted in the implementation of a high-performance prototype of the APT.

Qualia now benefit from a system that not only simplifies multi-vehicle routing but also offers an unprecedented 4D airspace perspective. The precision and real-time tracking capability have elevated their RPAS functions, making them more secure and efficient than ever.
