Aerospace RECON RPAS Unmanned Aerial System Centre of Excellence

Challenge
The CED needed a sophisticated RPAS test range for the Qualia Qualification Site, requiring precise 3D aircraft positioning, dynamic routing, and thorough flight monitoring.
Solution
Collaborating with OneSky, ARA Robotics combined a versatile UTM tracking beacon with OneSky's UTM software. This union empowered drone operators to efficiently plan, simulate, and manage flights. The system integrates advanced tools for multi-vehicle routing and bridges connectivity between surveillance tools like ARA's RTK GPS Beacon, giving a 4D airspace perspective.

Solution
Accuracy: Real-time centimeter-level tracking.
Connectivity: 4G/LTE and 2.4 GHz radio frequency integration.
Routing: Real-time flight path adjustments.
Surveillance: Complements RTK GPS Beacon and additional assets.
Results
The system precisely tracks RPAS in real-time. Leveraging 4G/LTE and 2.4 GHz, the UTM Beacon seamlessly conveys flight information to OneSky's UTM platform, ensuring safe and efficient RPAS operations at Qualia.
